A day with Asterisk (*)

I thought to start my blogger posts from here, since I have started my career as an asterisk developer.

Before I join Onvi, I heard about the asterisk from my friend Aka (akalanka) , but @ that time I didn't have a clear image about (*).

I thought to search about (*) after he ask from me about it several times. I came across the asterisk's main page thru google where digium holds the full source tree for asterisk.

http://www.asterisk.org/

I first download the asterisk 1.4 (before more than 6 months back It was the stable release from digium)

Then I some how able to install it on my slackware box.

After couple of days I realize that What the heck is this (*) all about.

I started to learn about (*) soft switch & was amazed by Itz power and scope on VOIP.

I was able to be really close to (*) after I join Onvi.

I think I don't have to write the history about (*) here, since you ppl can get more about that on www.

From this post onwards I'll posts things related to (*) and pretty cool stuff which related to linux.

Mmm... I think this is enough about (*) for the moment.

So I'll stop for now .

Thanks
Pasan.
